Since its inaugural flight on July 9, 2009, airBaltic has maintained daily flights between Turku and the Latvian capital, Riga, ensuring smooth connectivity for passengers to its extensive network and beyond. Since its inception, the airline has served nearly 400,000 passengers and completed over 8,000 flights between Turku and Riga. Beyond its operations in Turku, airBaltic offers direct flights from Tampere, Finland to eight destinations across Europe, demonstrating its commitment to expanding its presence in the Finnish market.
In 2024, airBaltic further strengthened its Finnish network by introducing a new direct route from Tampere to Palma de Mallorca, enhancing connectivity for travelers from Helsinki, Tampere, and Turku to the world via its hub in Riga.
