airBaltic Expands Network with Direct Flights Connecting Tampere and Palma de Mallorca

airBaltic, the national airline of Latvia, has expanded its network with the introduction of twice-weekly direct flights between Tampere, Finland, and Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The new route adds to airBaltic’s commitment to improving connectivity from Tampere, offering customers more travel options and convenient access to popular European destinations.

Starting today, flights from Tampere to Palma de Mallorca will operate every Monday and Friday, continuing through October. The flights are operated on the Airbus A220-300, known for its efficiency and passenger-friendly features. Economy Class fares begin at EUR 129, while Business Class fares start at EUR 359.

airBaltic’s Senior Vice President Network Management, Thomas Ramdahl, expressed the airline’s dedication to enhancing connectivity from Tampere, saying, “Tampere is one of airBaltic’s home cities, and we are dedicated to improving connectivity from there to offer our customers more travel options.”

Petri Vuori, Senior Vice President Sales & Route Development at Finavia, welcomed the new route, stating, “The new connection from Tampere to the popular holiday destination of Mallorca is a fantastic addition.”

airBaltic currently offers a wide range of routes from Finland to destinations across Europe, with flights from Tampere to six European destinations in addition to flights from Helsinki and Turku to Riga, airBaltic’s main hub.

Overall, airBaltic operates more than 130 routes from bases in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and seasonally from Gran Canaria, connecting to a diverse array of destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
