Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan have once again joined forces for a new ad film, this time joined by Tiger Shroff. The ad, which promotes a cardamom brand, is the second collaboration between Devgn and Khan for the same brand, with Shroff replacing Akshay Kumar, who faced backlash from fans and netizens for endorsing the product.
In the latest ad, Khan sports his ‘Pathaan’ look, complete with long hair and shades, while seated in the passenger seat of a car driven by Devgn. The duo are seen driving through a crowded, narrow lane, honking to clear the traffic. Khan suggests that Devgn open a packet of cardamom, which refreshes them and puts them in a better mood despite the traffic.
Shroff then appears, approaching the car and splashing the product. The trio engage with the product, with Khan accidentally throwing cardamom at a passing biker who turns out to be actress Amyra Dastur.
The first ad from the brand featuring Devgn, Khan, and Kumar was released in early 2023. However, netizens criticized the involvement of the three influential stars, particularly Kumar, due to his frequent endorsement of fitness and health products. In April 2023, Kumar apologized to his fans and announced that he would step back from the endorsement and donate his fee to a worthy cause.
The new ad featuring Devgn, Khan, and Shroff was first aired during an IPL match on Thursday, April 25. The brand may continue airing the previous ads featuring Devgn, Khan, and Kumar until the legal duration of the contract expires.
