Alaska Airlines is taking its First Class culinary offerings to new heights with a partnership with celebrated chef Brandon Jew. Starting this month, travelers flying between San Francisco International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport can enjoy a unique dining experience curated by the acclaimed chef.
Chef Jew, renowned for his Michelin-starred restaurant Mister Jiu’s in San Francisco, brings his expertise and culinary creativity to Alaska Airlines’ First Class passengers. From August 14th, travelers can pre-order from a special menu featuring Chef Jew’s signature dishes. Expect innovative takes on classic Chinese cuisine, such as his signature congee, a comforting rice porridge, alongside expertly prepared black cod with silky tofu and a delicate braised duck with aromatic sesame noodles.
The ingredients used in these dishes reflect Chef Jew’s commitment to high quality and regional sourcing. Just like at Mister Jiu’s, the menu features premium poultry from Liberty Farms in Sonoma County, known for its exceptional quality. Chef Jew’s meticulous approach blends fresh, local ingredients from the San Francisco Bay Area with traditional Chinese culinary techniques, resulting in dishes that are both familiar and innovative.
This partnership is part of Alaska Airlines’ ongoing commitment to elevating its premium dining services. Previous collaborations have included iconic West Coast brands like Salt & Straw ice cream, Ellenos yogurt, Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, and Stumptown Coffee Roasters. By partnering with culinary luminaries like Chef Jew, Alaska Airlines aims to provide passengers with a taste of the region’s best flavors and ingredients, enhancing their travel experience from the moment they step on board.
