Alexandrova, at 29 years old, is aiming to add to her impressive career record, having last won a WTA Tour title in Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, in 2022. This victory marks her fourth career title on the WTA Tour.
The other quarterfinal matches saw second-seeded Emma Navarro of the United States facing ninth-seeded Magdalena Frech of Poland. Additionally, fifth-seeded Elina Svitolina of Ukraine was set to battle sixth-seeded Linda Noskova of the Czech Republic.
