Tom Sharkey’s body was discovered in his daughter’s Fort Myers home on October 6, 2021, with a gunshot wound to the head. Alexis Sharkey’s body was found on the side of a Texas road in 2020, and her husband was a suspect in her strangulation.
Tom Sharkey was allegedly wanted in connection with Alexis’ death, but had not yet been charged. The investigation into Alexis’ death had revealed a history of domestic violence between the couple, and Tom Sharkey had been described as untruthful and evasive by authorities.
Alexis Sharkey’s mother, Stacey Robinault, had suspected foul play before her daughter’s body was found. Stacey had spoken to her daughter the day before, but had not realized that it would be their last conversation.
