Renowned London hairstylist George Northwood, known for his expertise in bobs, has once again created a stunning hairstyle for his long-time client, actress Alicia Vikander. Trading her signature chest-length hair, a style she’s been loyal to for years, for a chunky midi-bob, Northwood crafted a look that is both fresh and flattering for the autumn season.
“Alicia has worn her hair long for a while, but fancied a bit of a change,” Northwood shared with Vogue. “She’s about to go and shoot a new movie, but while we were doing press for her new film, Firebrand, we felt it would be a great time to refresh her haircut. We went for a midi-bob,” he explained.
The cut, featuring slightly jagged ends, was designed to be “thick and chunky, but with a soft edge,” Northwood described. “It’s essentially a simple, one-length bob that’s slightly longer at the front.” This shape and length make it incredibly versatile, allowing it to be styled with a center parting or swept to the side. “It will look great with her natural texture or a bit of a wave,” he added.
