The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday dismissed a writ petition filed by a NEET aspirant, Ayushi Patel, amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 examinations.
Patel had alleged that the NTA failed to declare her result due to a torn OMR sheet and demanded a manual evaluation of her OMR Sheet. She also called for action against the NTA. This petition came at a time when nationwide protests were taking place against the testing agency regarding the allocation of ‘grace marks’ to multiple students.
However, the Allahabad High Court dismissed the petition after it came to light that Patel had submitted forged documents. The court stated that the petitioner had presented fabricated documents and that it could not restrain the authorities from taking legal action against her.
This case highlights a serious issue of dishonesty in examinations and emphasizes the importance of maintaining integrity in the testing process. The court’s decision serves as a warning against attempting to manipulate results through fraudulent means.
