Amazon Unveils New Nationwide Grocery Delivery Program

Amazon has unveiled its new nationwide grocery delivery program, which is open to both Prime members and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients. For a monthly fee of $10, Prime members will have access to unlimited grocery deliveries for orders over $35 from Whole Foods, Amazon Fresh, and various local grocery retailers on Amazon.com. SNAP recipients can access the program for a reduced monthly fee of $4.99.

Amazon initially launched a pilot program for its new grocery delivery service in Columbus, Ohio; Denver, Colorado; and Sacramento late last year, and the positive feedback from the pilot test led to the decision to expand the program nationwide. Similar to delivery services from Target and Walmart, the newest program from Amazon offers a convenient way for customers to get their groceries delivered directly to their doorsteps.

More information about Amazon’s grocery delivery service can be found on the Amazon website.
