In line with the 10th anniversary of Fire TV, Amazon is introducing its new AI-powered search feature, which will roll out to customers in the United States on May 31st. This feature aims to enhance the search experience by enabling users to interact naturally with Alexa. Users can inquire about movies using specific lines, actors, or general descriptions, and the AI-powered search will deliver relevant results from Amazon Prime Video and other streaming app libraries. Amazon demonstrated the improvements during its fall event, showcasing how AI enhances search capabilities. The new search feature will complement the recently improved Ambient Experience backgrounds, which utilize AI-powered imagery to generate dynamic backgrounds for the Fire TV experience. However, it’s important to note that these background image features are currently limited to the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max and the Omni OLED line of TVs. The AI-powered search functionality will be available on devices running Fire TV OS 6 and above. Users can simply ask Alexa to show them something to initiate the search.
