Amber Heard is celebrating her 38th birthday with a simple glass of champagne. The actress, who has been living in Spain for two years, has been enjoying life with her daughter, Oonagh Paige, and has moved on from the highly publicized trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp.
Heard recently posted a photo on Instagram with the caption “Champagne kind of birthday,” showing her posing in front of shelves of wine. It was her first Instagram post in four months since promoting her film “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”
Heard’s director, Conor Allyn, said in an interview that she is “living her best life in Spain” and has found happiness there. However, Allyn noted that the public may still carry trauma from the trial, which was televised and highly publicized.
In 2022, Depp sued Heard for defamation over an op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post. The jury awarded Depp $5 million in compensatory damages and $10 million in punitive damages, while Heard was awarded $2 million after Depp’s lawyer referred to her allegations as a “hoax.”
Heard has faced online harassment since the trial, but she said she doesn’t blame people for believing Depp. “He’s a beloved character, and people feel they know him,” she said.
