American Airlines and Stand Up To Cancer Team Up for Life-Saving Campaign

American Airlines and Stand Up To Cancer® (SU2C) are once again joining forces to raise funds for groundbreaking cancer research. The airline’s annual campaign invites customers to participate in this life-saving effort. This year’s campaign features a compelling new public service announcement starring renowned actress, film producer, and SU2C celebrity ambassador, Rosario Dawson.

From now until September 30th, customers can earn AAdvantage® bonus miles by donating to Stand Up To Cancer. Those who donate $25 or more will receive 25 bonus miles per dollar contributed. AAdvantage® Mastercard® holders who donate between $25 and $10,000 will earn an even greater reward of 50 bonus miles per dollar. Donations can be made online at SU2C.org/AA.

Since partnering with SU2C in 2016, American Airlines has raised over $20 million to support critical research. In 2019, they launched a special campaign allowing donors to honor loved ones by including their names on an Airbus A321 aircraft adorned with SU2C-themed livery.

This year, American Airlines is furthering the campaign with limited-edition amenity kits designed in collaboration with sustainable fashion brand Raven + Lily. These kits, available in Flagship® First Class and Flagship® Business Class, showcase SU2C’s signature yellow, orange, and red colors alongside Raven + Lily’s distinctive zig-zag trim. Premium Economy kits will also feature SU2C’s yellow. The kits include new skincare products and a QR code allowing customers to easily contribute to the campaign.

These limited-edition amenity kits will be introduced on flights later this year. This marks the second time American Airlines has launched a limited-edition amenity kit since introducing their new program earlier this year.

SU2C is committed to bringing together the brightest minds in the cancer community to accelerate the development of new therapies and ensure patients have access to them as quickly as possible. By engaging the entertainment industry, SU2C raises public awareness about cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment while securing vital funds to support these initiatives.
