The 2024 WM Recycling Report, based on a survey of over 1,000 consumers and businesses, emphasizes the need for a collaborative approach to improve the nation’s recycling system.
The report reveals that while a significant majority (86%) of recyclers confidently recycle plastic bottles and containers, a concerning 10% are unsure whether their plastics are actually being recycled. This lack of confidence reflects a broader gap in understanding surrounding the recycling process and its environmental benefits.
