Amit Shah Slams Congress for Inaction in Prajwal Revanna Sexual Abuse Case

Union Home Minister Amit Shah strongly condemned the Congress party for failing to address the Prajwal Revanna sexual abuse case, despite having its government in Karnataka. Addressing reporters in Guwahati, Shah stressed the party’s commitment to protecting women’s rights and emphasized that such offenses will not be tolerated. Shah pointed out that it is the responsibility of the state government to maintain law and order and questioned why the ruling Congress had not taken any action. He urged Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi to direct her queries to the state’s Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister instead of targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and himself.

Earlier, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi had criticized Shah and Modi for their alleged inaction in the case. Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, faces allegations of sexually abusing several women, as evidenced by explicit video clips that have surfaced. In response to the scandal, Janata Dal (Secular) MLA Sharana Gowda Kandakur wrote to party president H.D. Deve Gowda, demanding Prajwal’s expulsion to preserve the party’s reputation. Former Karnataka Chief Minister and JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy announced Prajwal Revanna’s suspension from the party pending the completion of the ongoing investigation.
