Amsa Hospitality, a prominent Saudi hospitality company, is making strides toward environmental responsibility by introducing an initiative focused on promoting recycled products. The company has proudly begun distributing backpacks crafted from recycled plastic bottles to its esteemed employees and valued business partners. This innovative process involves the meticulous collection of used plastic bottles, followed by their shredding into flakes and subsequent melting into polyester fibers. These fibers are then woven into a durable fabric, which is meticulously cut and sewn into the stylish backpacks. As a pioneering hospitality company in Saudi Arabia, Amsa Hospitality aligns seamlessly with the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030, striving for a greener future not only for the Kingdom but for the entire planet. Aamir Riaz, the Chief Operating Officer of Amsa Hospitality, eloquently stated, “Environmental sustainability is an indispensable element woven into the very fabric of Amsa Hospitality’s daily operations. Utilizing products crafted from recycled waste is a testament to our unwavering commitment to resource conservation and the pursuit of energy efficiency. In fact, the production of recycled PET fabric consumes significantly less energy compared to the production of new polyester derived from petroleum.” This innovative initiative has already yielded tangible results, with the initial 500 backpacks distributed to enthusiastic visitors at last month’s Arabian Travel Market. Amsa Hospitality, fueled by its commitment to sustainability, is actively exploring new and exciting recycling opportunities, solidifying its position as a leader in environmentally conscious hospitality practices.
