Amudan Chemical Company Owner, Malaya Pradeep Mehta, to Face Court in Thane Blast Case

The Thane Police will present Malay Pradeep Mehta, the arrested owner of Amudan Chemical Company, in court on May 25 in connection with the case that claimed 11 lives and injured more than 60 persons on Friday. The cops have also detailed Malaya Mehta’s mother, Malti Mehta, from Nashik.

The blast occurred at the Amudan Chemical Company in Dombivli, a suburb of Thane. The explosion was so powerful that it caused buildings to collapse and windows to shatter in the vicinity. Several fire engines and ambulances rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire and provide medical assistance.

The police have registered a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against Malay Pradeep Mehta. They are investigating the cause of the blast and whether there were any safety violations at the chemical company.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of chemical companies in the area. The Maharashtra government has ordered a probe into the matter and has directed all chemical companies to review their safety measures.

The residents of Dombivli are still in shock after the blast. They are demanding that the government take strict action against those responsible for the incident and ensure that such a tragedy does not happen again.
