The 16-year-old dominated her opponent, Jemyca Aribado of the Philippines, winning the final match 3-0 with scores of 11-5, 11-3, and 11-7. This victory marked a double triumph for Singh, as she also secured the Eastern Slam under 19 girls’ title, solidifying her position as one of the most promising young squash players in the world.
The men’s championship saw Sri Lankan player Ravindu Laksiri emerge victorious. He defeated Ammar Altamimi of Kuwait in a decisive 3-0 match, winning with scores of 11-7, 13-11, and 11-3.
The final day of the event was graced by the presence of Saurav Ghosal, a renowned Indian squash player. Ghosal, widely recognized as India’s finest men’s squash player, expressed his enthusiasm for hosting PSA-level tournaments in India. He highlighted their significance in elevating the standard of competition on the PSA World Circuit and providing a valuable platform for identifying and nurturing talented squash players from across India.
