The festivities kicked off with a grand ‘baarat’ on July 12, where Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Priyanka Chopra were seen shaking a leg. Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, and the other groomsmen were gifted luxury watches from the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar limited edition, each worth ₹2 crore. Anant Ambani himself sported a ₹54 crore watch on his wedding day.
Tamil iconoclast Rajnikanth showcased his classic dance moves, while Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit recreated her iconic 90s dance number ‘Choli Ke Peechey Kya Hai.’ Ranveer Singh took to the dance floor with FIFA president Gianni Infantino, and WWE legend John Cena was also present at the wedding. Global music sensation Rema, known for his hit song ‘Calm Down,’ also performed at the event, reportedly charging ₹25 crore for his performance.
Other notable guests included AR Rahman, Anil Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Sara Ali Khan. American influencer Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe Kardashian made their first trip to India for the wedding, adding an international flair to the celebrations.
The wedding festivities continued on July 13 with a ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ (blessings ceremony) attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson also graced the occasion.
