Andalusia to Get New Train Service Connecting Malaga and Marbella

Plans for a new train line in Andalusia, Spain, that will connect Malaga and Marbella have been unveiled. The train line would take eight years to build and would cost €2.5billion. Once completed, the journey time between Malaga Airport and Marbella would be 22 minutes on express services. The new train line would also serve towns like Alhaurín de la Torre, Coín, and Alhaurín el Grande.

If the plans are approved, the new train line would be a major boost to tourism in the region. It would make it easier for visitors to get to Marbella from Malaga Airport, and it would also open up the region to more tourists who are looking for a more authentic Spanish experience.

In addition to the new train line, there are also plans to launch a new sleeper service between Barcelona and Zurich. The sleeper service would run overnight and would make it easier for travelers to get between the two cities. The service is expected to launch in December 2024.

In the UK, there are also plans for two new train routes. Swiss National Railways (SBB) has proposed new routes between London St Pancras and Basel. The trip would take five hours and would use the Channel Tunnel and Eurostar trains. A new start-up called Evolyn has also revealed plans to connect London St Pancras and Paris Nord by 2025. If it goes ahead, it would be the first competitor to Eurostar since it first started 30 years ago.
