Anine Bing Returns to Her Musical Roots with Debut Album Release

Once a musician leading her own band, Anine Bing transitioned into the fashion world as the founder of the eponymous label. Her brand, launched in 2012, became a resounding success, leading her to temporarily set aside her musical aspirations. However, with the release of her debut solo album, ‘Therapy,’ Bing has reconnected with her creative roots. The intimate album launch event held at Chateau Marmont featured live performances of songs from the record, including ‘Addicted’ and ‘Beautiful Girl.’ Bing shared that therapy inspired the album’s themes, with each song reflecting her experiences during therapy sessions.

The celebration extended beyond Bing’s musical debut, coinciding with the launch of the Anine Bing summer collection. The collection embodies the brand’s ongoing inspiration from rock and roll, featuring leather shorts and denim tops adorned with gold buttons. Bing emphasizes the effortless and organic nature of both her musical and fashion design processes.

The exclusive event was a star-studded affair, with guests including Jamila Strand Awkwafina, Babs Burchfield, and Alison Brie. While enjoying grilled cheese sandwiches, sliders, French fries, champagne, and martinis, the attendees witnessed performances by Swedish singers Winona Oak and Lisa Ekdahl. As a memorable keepsake from the evening, guests received copies of Bing’s ‘Therapy’ album and concert tees.
