Anker’s audio brand, Soundcore, has introduced the Space One Pro, a new set of wireless noise-canceling headphones designed to make travel a more enjoyable experience. The Space One Pro boasts a unique folding mechanism that allows them to shrink down to 50% of their original size, making them more compact and portable. Soundcore refers to this innovative folding system as FlexiCurve, where the headband is composed of five segments, each maintaining a folding angle of 5 to 8 degrees, resulting in an almost circular shape when folded.
The Space One Pro comes in black and cream color options and will be available starting September 5th for $200. Soundcore also offers an optional travel case, reminiscent of Apple’s AirPods Max case, with a magnetic tab closure for $35. However, if you purchase the Space One Pro before September 26th, you’ll receive the travel case complimentary.
Beyond their compact design, the Space One Pro also excels in noise cancellation and battery life. Soundcore claims these headphones feature their strongest noise-canceling technology to date, powered by a six-microphone array. Battery life is rated at up to 40 hours with noise cancellation enabled and up to 60 hours with it turned off. For those in a hurry, a quick 5-minute USB-C charge provides an additional 8 hours of playtime.
The Space One Pro also boasts impressive audio capabilities. While the 40mm drivers have a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, which technically doesn’t meet the requirements for hi-res audio, the headphones are labeled as supporting hi-res audio. Soundcore has been contacted for clarification on this matter. Nevertheless, the headphones support Sony’s LDAC codec, which can deliver hi-res audio over Bluetooth. The Space One Pro also comes equipped with a protective pouch and a 3.5mm analog cable for those who prefer listening to non-digital audio sources.
