Sui’s latest collection is infused with a sense of softness and playfulness, drawing inspiration from Warhol’s pre-Pop drawings. This influence is evident in the pastel color palette and whimsical prints that dominate the collection. Collaborating with artist Paul LeRoy Gehres, known for his work channeling Warhol’s style, Sui incorporated a cherub logo motif, which can be seen on the shrunken ’90s tees that have become a coveted item among Sui’s younger fans. She also introduced a new printing technique that evokes the blotted outlines of Warhol’s illustrations, showcased beautifully on a delicate lace slipdress.
Travel, resorts, and country clubs served as another muse for Sui.
