Ant-Man’s Cassie Lang Easier Than ‘Abigail’ for Kathryn Newton

Kathryn Newton Finds ‘Ant-Man’ Easier Than ‘Abigail’ Role

Kathryn Newton, who recently starred in the horror movie ‘Abigail,’ has revealed that playing Cassie Lang in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania’ was the “easiest job” of her life. In an interview with CinePop, Newton explained that the physicality and limited use of green screen in ‘Ant-Man’ made it a less demanding experience than ‘Abigail.’

“I think the Marvel movie, actually. But I don’t know… This was, physically, actually harder than Ant-Man,” said Newton. “Ant-Man was the easiest job of my life. It was really fun… And this one was just as fun, but it was different. We had a real set, we had real props, real people. So whatever inspiration you get is from what’s happening right in front of you and I didn’t have to make it up, there was no green screen. And that was much more freeing than I was prepared for.”

Newton also expressed her hopes for a future Young Avengers project, which would reunite her with her ‘Ant-Man’ co-stars. “I think it would be really cool to see a Young Avengers project,” she said. “I think there’s a lot of potential there. And I think it would be really fun to see all of us together again.”

Despite the ease of her role in ‘Ant-Man,’ Newton remains grateful for the experience and credits the encouragement and advice she received from Paul Rudd for helping her succeed.

“I learned so much from him,” she said. “He’s such a great actor and he’s just such a good person. He’s always so encouraging and he’s always there for you.”
