Anti-Israel Protests Orchestrated by Communist Groups, Watchdog Alleges

An undercover investigation by Accuracy in Media has uncovered the involvement of a communist organization in anti-Israel protests on college campuses across the country, including at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

“Our investigation confirms that in many cases, the antisemitic protests taking place on college campuses across the country are being organized and supported by outside agitators,” Adam Guillette, president of Accuracy in Media, told Fox News Digital. “It should come as no surprise that the Revolutionary Communist Party played a role in stoking the flames of hatred at UCLA.”

A woman identified as “Annie” in the video released by Accuracy in Media admitted to being an “outside agitator” and a member of the Revolutionary Communist Party (Revcom). She described her fellow communists as “comrades” and said they were working to “get organized for an actual revolution.”

The involvement of communist groups in anti-Israel protests has raised concerns about the goals and tactics of these demonstrations. Revcom, led by political activist Bob Avakian, is described by Influence Watch as a “radical-left political party in the United States that seeks to overthrow the government and implement a socialist system of government.”

The protests have also been linked to progressive donors, including liberal megadonor George Soros and groups backed by progressive dark money operations. Several prominent donors to President Biden have been tied to some of the groups causing disruptions on college campuses.

Law enforcement officials have arrested over 130 protesters at anti-Israel encampments across the country in recent weeks. Many of the arrested activists have not been students, and several of the protests have fingerprints of being organized by national groups propped up by progressive donors.

The investigation by Accuracy in Media highlights the growing involvement of outside agitators and political groups in anti-Israel protests on college campuses. These protests have been marred by antisemitism and violence, and they have disrupted the academic environment for students and faculty alike.
