The film follows Shivani (Nutan), a blind sculptor living in an ashram, and her close friend, young Chandan (Master Satyajeet), who is battling cancer. Shivani’s heart belongs to Rajesh (Vinod Mehra), but his parents refuse to accept her as their daughter-in-law.
