Bengal is gearing up for the Ranji Trophy, with veteran batter Anustup Majumdar leading the team in their first two matches. The 19-member squad will face Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow for the first round, followed by a home match against Bihar in the second round.
The team boasts the return of key players Wriddhiman Saha and Sudip Chatterjee, both of whom recently played for Tripura. Adding to the excitement, off-spinner Aamir Gani has also made a comeback to the Bengal team after a three-year hiatus, his last First-Class match dating back to 2019.
The first round of the Ranji Trophy is set to begin on October 11th, and Bengal will be looking to start their campaign with a strong performance under the leadership of Majumdar.
