Apple Pencil 3, New iPads Expected at Apple’s May 7 Event

Apple enthusiasts eagerly await the company’s special event on May 7, as CEO Tim Cook has hinted at the unveiling of the Apple Pencil 3. The event is expected to focus on the iPad lineup, with rumors suggesting the Apple Pencil 3 will bring exciting new features.

Since the last significant update to the Apple Pencil in 2018, users have anticipated new additions. One highly anticipated feature is the integration of Find My, allowing users to locate their misplaced Apple Pencil with ease, similar to AirPods and AirTags. Additionally, there are whispers about interchangeable magnetic tips and a possible “Squeeze” gesture for quick actions.

Beyond the Apple Pencil, the event is also expected to showcase new iPad models. The iPad Air 6 is rumored to sport the M2 chip and, for the first time, a larger 12.9-inch display. Meanwhile, the new iPad Pro is set to feature the advanced M3 chip, OLED displays, and a slimmer profile. Apple is also rumored to be revamping the Magic Keyboard with a redesigned version that could give the iPad a more conventional laptop-like appearance, moving away from the current floating design.

The “Let Loose” event will kick off online at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET on May 7. Apple fans are encouraged to stay tuned for all the exciting announcements.
