Apple has a reputation for offering vibrant colors for its standard iPhone models while keeping the iPhone Pro series in more subdued tones. This trend is expected to continue with the upcoming iPhone 16 series, but a new rumor suggests a twist.
Sonny Dickson, a well-known leaker, has shared images that appear to be dummy units of the iPhone 16 Pro. One of these models is labeled “bronze,” suggesting that Apple may be introducing a new color for its flagship devices. The company might choose to name it “rose” or “gold,” similar to past iPhone and iPad color options. This new bronze hue is expected to be offered alongside the traditional white, silver, and black options for the iPhone 16 Pro models.
In recent years, Apple has consistently added at least one unique color to its iPhone Pro lineup. Last year, the iPhone 15 Pro launched with a Blue Titanium option alongside the standard Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium. The iPhone 14 Pro featured a purple version, while the iPhone 13 Pro introduced a Sierra Blue color, later followed by an Alpine Green option.
For many iPhone Pro users, a bronze option might be a welcome change, offering a unique look compared to the usual white or black. It seems Apple is continuing its trend of adding distinctive colors to its premium iPhone models.
Another intriguing detail from Dickson’s leak is the appearance of the iPhone 16 Pro black model. It appears noticeably darker than the Black Titanium version of the iPhone 15 Pro, which could be a welcome change for those seeking a deeper black finish.
Apple is anticipated to unveil its new iPhone lineup at an upcoming press event, likely shortly after Labor Day in the U.S., which falls on September 2nd this year. The expected iPhone 16 series includes four models: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Alongside the new color options, the iPhone 16 series is expected to bring a host of other updates. These include larger displays and improved charging capabilities for the Pro models, redesigned rear cameras for the non-Pro models, and a range of other enhancements.
