Apple is set to discontinue several of its products following its annual iPhone event on September 9th. This announcement follows the company’s tradition of phasing out older models to make room for new releases. Among the products expected to be discontinued are the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 13.
The iPhone 15 Pro is likely to be the last Pro model to feature 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes, as the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro models are rumored to have larger displays. Additionally, the Blue Titanium color option exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro may not be carried over to the 16 Pro lineup.
The Apple Watch Series 9 and SE 2 are also expected to be discontinued. They will likely be replaced by new models featuring larger displays and updated features.
AirPods 2 will also be discontinued, with two new trims of AirPods 4 expected to take their place. These new AirPods are rumored to offer enhanced features like noise cancellation.
This anticipated discontinuation of older models aligns with Apple’s strategy of clearing space for new releases. The upcoming event, dubbed “Glowtime,” is expected to be a major milestone for Apple.
