## Apple Watch Series 10: The Ultimate Smartwatch Experience? (My Honest Review)
I’m not usually one to gush about tech, but the Apple Watch Series 10 has truly ruined other smartwatches for me. This week, I’m switching back to a different smartwatch for review, but I can’t bring myself to take the Series 10 off. It’s *that* good.
I’m hesitant to call it perfect, because nothing ever truly is, but it’s incredibly close. Prepare for some serious praise over the next few paragraphs, because I’m about to explain why the Apple Watch Series 10 should be your top choice if you’re in the market for a smartwatch.
Why I Can’t Take It Off: The Comfort Factor
Let’s face it, an activity tracker is only useful if you wear it consistently. And for that to happen, it needs to be comfortable and look good. Next to the Oura Ring 4, the Apple Watch Series 10 is the most comfortable piece of wearable tech I’ve encountered in years.
Despite the hardware being very similar to the Series 9, it feels significantly more comfortable and less noticeable on my wrist. A few millimeters and grams can make a world of difference! The weight is just right – substantial enough to feel secure without feeling heavy or bulky. The thinner case effortlessly slips under any cuff, whether it’s a shirt or a hoodie, and never gets caught on the material. Honestly, I often forget I’m even wearing it!
More Comfortable Than My “Regular” Watches
I usually end up ditching smartwatches because they’re not as comfortable or well-designed as my traditional watches. But the Series 10 is a game-changer. For the first time ever, a smartwatch has surpassed all my “regular” watches in terms of long-term comfort.
I’m currently wearing the titanium Apple Watch Series 10 with the Milanese Loop metal band, and it’s absolutely sublime. It’s a perfect 10/10, no notes. With previous Apple Watch models, I’ve switched bands depending on my mood and activity. But the Milanese Loop is a master of all trades – it’s comfortable for workouts, sleep tracking, and everyday wear. It doesn’t get sweaty, doesn’t feel irritating, and doesn’t pull at my wrist hairs. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricier side, but it’s easily the best band I’ve ever worn.
Hardware That Just Works
The Apple Watch Series 10’s curves make it snuggle perfectly (yes, I’m using that word again) on my wrist. The titanium feels warm without being hot, and the Milanese Loop’s quick adjustability ensures a perfect fit at all times. Despite its lightweight design, it feels incredibly solid. And while others haven’t been so lucky, the sapphire crystal on mine is still pristine.
Simply put, there’s not a single hardware element that’s given me a reason to take the Apple Watch Series 10 off since I got it. And I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
A Few Tweaks:
*
Haptics:
I adjusted the haptics from the default setting to “Prominent” because they were too light on the standard setting and felt different from the same setting on the aluminum Series 10. Increasing the vibration intensity solved the issue.*
Live Activity for Media:
I turned this feature off as it didn’t add any value for me and just spoiled the look of the watch face.*
Watch Face:
I’m a big fan of the Snoopy watch face, but the Reflections watch face has stolen my heart. It’s simple, classy, and perfectly matches the style of my Series 10.Beyond Comfort: Apple Fitness+ Integration
The Apple Watch Series 10’s supreme comfort has been instrumental in helping me explore and enjoy another aspect of the smartwatch: Apple Fitness+. I’ve been incredibly impressed with how the Apple Watch seamlessly integrates with Fitness+ and the added benefits it provides.
Fitness+ uses your Apple Watch to actively measure your heart rate and calories burned during a workout. I connect my watch to my Apple TV (instant, effortless setup every time), control the workout program from my wrist, and view my stats in real time on the TV screen. It adds a whole new dimension to Fitness+ workouts, keeps me accountable, and even lets me see how close I am to closing my activity rings during exercise.
The Bottom Line:
I’ve used every Apple Watch model since the first, as well as nearly every other major smartwatch (and several lesser-known ones), plus I’ve collected a wide range of traditional watches. No other smartwatch has had this effect on me, and only a handful of traditional watches have come close, but for different reasons.
Later today, I’ll be putting on a different smartwatch to review it, and I’ll strive for objectivity as always. But for anyone who doesn’t need to swap watches regularly, if you own an iPhone and are looking for a smartwatch, the Apple Watch Series 10 is the one to get. Take it from someone who owns one and doesn’t want to take it off.
