Apple, the tech giant known for its innovative devices, is reportedly working on a groundbreaking new product for the smart home market: a tabletop robot command center. According to reliable Apple insider Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, this device is scheduled for release sometime in 2026.
The robot command center will feature a large display, similar in size and design to a larger iPad, mounted on a thin, robotic arm. This innovative design allows the display to rotate a full 360 degrees, enabling users to easily control smart devices throughout their homes, make FaceTime calls, and monitor their home security.
Beyond its physical capabilities, the Apple command center will also integrate Apple Intelligence and Siri functionalities, offering voice recognition and control. The device will be able to distinguish between the voices of different family members, providing a personalized experience.
Apple has reportedly dedicated significant resources to this project, including the involvement of Kevin Lynch, the company’s Vice President of Technology, and several hundred other Apple employees. This paid version may offer users additional AI-powered features, such as enhanced integration with the Apple tabletop robot and expanded functionalities across iOS devices.
