In a brazen daylight robbery, six armed men targeted a Tanishq showroom in Purnea, Bihar, making off with a substantial amount of gold and diamond jewelry. The incident, which occurred on Friday morning, unfolded when the perpetrators, disguised as ordinary customers, entered the showroom and swiftly took control.
The thieves, who ranged in age from 22 to 25, displayed a chilling level of organization and aggression. Armed with guns, they forced the staff into a room, confiscated their mobile phones, and proceeded to loot the showroom. Two of the assailants wore masks, while the others left their faces uncovered. The staff, who estimated the stolen jewelry to be worth crores, described the robbery as a meticulously planned operation that took place within a mere 20 minutes.
The thieves employed a calculated escape strategy, splitting into two groups and fleeing on motorcycles. Three individuals rode east, while the remaining three escaped in the opposite direction. A large bag containing the stolen loot was spotted in their possession.
The staff, shaken but grateful to be unharmed, recounted the terrifying ordeal. They immediately contacted the police, who swiftly mobilized and launched an investigation. The Purnea police, along with officers from neighboring districts, are pursuing the criminals. The authorities have collected CCTV footage from the showroom and surrounding areas, which is expected to provide crucial leads in apprehending the culprits.
