Armored Core VI’s Robot Damashii Toy Unveiled for September Release
Following its initial reveal last November, Bandai Spirits has announced the release of the first Robot Damashii toy for “Armored Core VI.” The IB-07: SOL 644/Ayre will be available in Japan this September with a price tag of 18,150 yen (approximately $117).
The IB-07: SOL 644/Ayre stands out as a sizable Robot Damashii toy, incorporating diecast elements that bridge the gap between regular releases and the more premium Metal Robot Damashii line. However, it does not feature the transformation seen when encountering the mecha in the game’s Bad Ending to maintain a lower cost.
In an interview with Hobby Watch, Bandai Spirits expressed interest in expanding the toy line to include other bosses from “Armored Core VI.” The IBIS series of mecha and even Baltheus were mentioned as potential candidates. The Bandai Spirits Twitter/X account has already hinted at the next reveal, referencing a line spoken by Handler Walter in the game’s Good Ending. This suggests the possibility of an IBIS series AC toy, specifically the IB-C03: HAL 826.
While the Coral energy paintjob may appear excessive in some areas, the toy overall appears to be a solid representation of the mecha. Its sales performance will be a point of interest once it becomes available.
