Arrest Made in Homicide Investigation Outside Royal Alexandra Hospital

A 31-year-old man, Irvin Badarm, has been charged with second-degree murder and robbery in connection with the death of a man outside the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton on May 15.

The victim, Clinton Quintal, 34, was found fatally stabbed outside the hospital. An autopsy concluded that Quintal died of multiple stab wounds.

Police believe Badarm may have been involved in a robbery at the Kingsway transit station about an hour before the homicide. Badarm was arrested on May 18.

Investigators do not believe Badarm knew either the robbery or the homicide victim. They believe there may have been other suspects involved and are asking for anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
