As two of the most successful clubs in the Premier League, Arsenal and Manchester City have often been rivals. However, they also share a common history, with a number of players having played for both clubs.
Niall Quinn
Niall Quinn is the second-highest scorer in the history of the Irish national team. He came up through the ranks at Arsenal and made his professional debut in 1985. He played for the Gunners for seven years before joining Manchester City in 1990. He spent six seasons at Maine Road, scoring 69 goals in 219 appearances.
David Rocastle
David Rocastle was a product of Arsenal’s youth system. He made his debut for the Gunners in 1984 and went on to make over 200 appearances for the club. He won five trophies with Arsenal, including two First Division championships. He joined Manchester City in 1993 but only made 21 appearances for the club.
Paul Dickov
Paul Dickov began his career at Arsenal in 1990. He made only 23 appearances for the Gunners before joining Manchester City in 1996. He played for the Sky Blues for six years, scoring 37 goals in 187 appearances.
David Seaman
