Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.
The 22-year-old Dutchman has been in impressive form for the Serie A club this term, scoring 10 league goals and attracting interest from a number of top clubs, including Manchester United and AC Milan.
Zirkzee is a product of the famed ‘Johan Cruyff courts’ in the Netherlands, where he developed his skills playing street football. He joined the Bayern Munich academy in 2018 and made his senior debut in 2021, but struggled to make a lasting impact at the German giants.
After loan spells at Parma and Anderlecht, Zirkzee joined Bologna last summer and has since found his feet in Italy. He has struck up a good partnership with Marko Arnautovic and has been praised by manager Thiago Motta for his performances.
Zirkzee has been coy about his future amid speculation linking him with a move to a bigger club, but he has admitted that he is happy at Bologna and wants to help the club achieve success.
However, Arsenal are reportedly keen on bringing him to the Emirates Stadium, and it remains to be seen whether they can tempt him away from Italy.
