Ascension Public Schools is honored to announce the appointment of Allison Saunders as Assistant Principal of Gonzales Primary School and Sha’myra Williams as Assistant Principal of Lowery Middle School.
Allison Saunders brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as a classroom teacher, master teacher, and administrative intern at Sorrento Primary School. She is deeply passionate about serving her community and the children within it.
Sha’myra Williams embarks on her 10th year within Ascension’s school district as an administrator, having previously held roles as a teacher, mentor teacher, master teacher, instructional coach, and administrative intern. With a strong foundation in educational leadership, she is committed to fostering growth and excellence within Lowery Middle School.
Superintendent Edith Walker expressed her anticipation for the future of both schools, emphasizing the collective journey towards achievement, growth, and excellence. Saunders and Williams expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to Ascension Parish’s exceptional educational system and their dedication to supporting teachers and students alike.
