ASM Global Extends ICC Sydney Contract for 10 Years
The International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) will continue to be managed by ASM Global for an additional 10 years, under a contract extension announced today.
The decision to extend ASM Global’s contract comes after a highly positive evaluation of its performance over the past decade. During this time, ASM Global has helped ICC Sydney generate significant outcomes for both the Darling Harbour Live consortium and the New South Wales (NSW) Government.
ICC Sydney has hosted over 3,600 core events and attracted 6.4 million attendees in just under seven years, contributing $3.9 billion to the local economy. The venue has also achieved client and delegate satisfaction ratings of 98% and 97% respectively, as evaluated by EY Sweeney.
Harvey Lister AM, Chairman and Chief Executive of ASM Global (APAC), expressed his pride in the management team’s accomplishments at ICC Sydney.
“From the beginning, ASM Global’s bold aspiration was for ICC Sydney to be one of our signature convention, exhibition and entertainment centres,” said Lister.
“It is gratifying to see how ASM Global’s venue management framework has helped ICC Sydney drive economic contribution, exceeding the initial A$3.4 billion investment into the transformation of Darling Harbour.”
Looking forward, ICC Sydney’s schedule includes 1,126 planned events up to 2034, anticipated to attract an estimated 4.7 million attendees.
ICC Sydney was developed as a NSW Government project in collaboration with Darling Harbour Live, which includes partners such as Capella Capital, ASM Global, Lendlease, Hostplus, Aware Super, and Spotless.
