Aspiration and veritree Forge Partnership to Advance Climate-Friendly Financial Services
Aspiration, a pioneering force in climate-conscious finance for consumers, has entered into a strategic partnership with veritree, a leader in the field of reforestation technology. This collaboration seeks to enhance Aspiration’s globally recognized Plant Your Change (PYC) program, which empowers customers to contribute to tree planting with every debit card purchase.
Under the terms of this partnership, veritree will provide essential tree-planting services to support Aspiration’s PYC program. veritree’s expertise in data-driven solutions and on-the-ground monitoring will ensure the careful tracking and verification of every tree-planting project. This will bring a new level of transparency and accountability to Aspiration’s tree-planting operations, which is of paramount importance to its customers.
Aspiration has already facilitated the planting of over 28 million trees through its PYC program, resulting in the sequestration of an estimated 4.6 million tonnes of CO2 over their lifetime. This is equivalent to removing over 1 million gas-powered cars from the road for an entire year. Aspiration has pledged to fund the planting of at least 2.5 million additional trees in the first year of its partnership with veritree.
