UC Berkeley Police Investigate Assault on Campus
On Tuesday, March 7, 2024, at approximately 9:35 p.m., the University of California, Berkeley Police Department (UCPD) responded to a report of an aggravated assault on University Drive near the Crescent Lawn. Upon arrival, officers ascertained that an individual had been assaulted by two unknown suspects, described as a male and a female.
According to the preliminary investigation, the female suspect sprayed an unknown liquid substance into the victim’s eyes, while the male suspect struck the victim in the head with a hard object. The suspects subsequently fled the scene in a dark-colored, older-model European sedan with noticeable chrome rims.
