Get ready for a new wave of robotic companions in Astro Bot Rescue Mission! Developer Team Asobi announced a free update coming this fall that will add a whopping 10 new bots to the game, alongside five exciting speedrun levels.
While the full lineup of new bots is yet to be unveiled, the announcement trailer gave us a glimpse of two familiar faces: Eve from Stellar Blade and a Helldiver from Helldivers 2. The trailer also teased other bots in the background, leaving fans eager to discover the rest of the pack.
The addition of five new speedrun levels is sure to excite players looking for a challenge. “Many of you asked for the return of speedrun levels so we hope you enjoy those. Time to sharpen those jumping skills and shave milli-seconds at every turn!” said studio head Nicolas Doucet in a PlayStation blog post.
The new bots might be integrated into existing levels, or perhaps even introduced in brand new ones. The possibilities are endless! Astro Bot Rescue Mission is already packed with iconic PlayStation characters, including God of War, Death Stranding, Horizon, Uncharted, and countless others, so the inclusion of Final Fantasy characters would be a welcome addition for many fans.
