ASUS is getting ready to launch a unique laptop in the Chinese market, the Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition. This laptop sets itself apart with a built-in fragrance diffuser, adding an unexpected twist to the typical computing experience.
The Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition is powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 9 395 “Strix Point” APU. This processor features 10 cores and 20 threads of Zen 5 processing power, split between 4 x Zen 5 and 6 x Zen 5c cores. The integrated Radeon 880M GPU, based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture, is still capable of running some games at decent settings, but not at the full potential of the 240Hz refresh rate.
The laptop boasts a 14-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) resolution display, providing a sharp and vibrant visual experience. It also features LPDDR5-7500 memory and a 75Wh battery, which ASUS claims can provide up to 14 hours of video playback.
This fragrance-infused laptop is a collaboration between ASUS, Anna Sui, and Adol. It reflects the unique preferences of the Chinese market, where style and innovation often take center stage. The Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition will be available in China starting October 1, 2024, with a price tag of 9199 RMB (approximately $1100-$1200 USD).
While this laptop might not be a gaming powerhouse, it offers a unique blend of technology and aesthetics. The addition of a fragrance diffuser adds a personal touch, catering to the distinct preferences of the Chinese market. The Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition is a testament to ASUS’s commitment to tailoring its products to specific regional tastes.
