ASUS is gearing up to launch a series of premium Z890 motherboards, specifically designed to accommodate Intel’s upcoming 14th generation ‘Arrow Lake-S’ desktop processors. These motherboards boast a new LGA 1851 socket and are set to offer a range of features optimized for the latest Intel CPUs.
Leading the charge is the flagship ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Extreme, which is listed for a staggering $1111.87. This marks a considerable price increase compared to its predecessor, the ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme.
Following closely behind is the ROG Z890 Apex, priced at $812.29, also showcasing a significant price jump compared to its Z790 counterpart, which debuted at $649.99.
ASUS is also expected to release a comprehensive lineup of Z890 motherboards, with other models including the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero, ROG Strix AZ890-A Gaming, ROG Strix Z890-I Gaming Wi-Fi, and the ROG Strix Z890-E. While specific pricing for these models is yet to be revealed, the substantial price hikes seen on the flagship models suggest that these new Z890 motherboards will be targeted towards users willing to invest in top-tier hardware for their next-generation Intel systems.
