Atlantis Paradise Island, a renowned destination in the Bahamas, has welcomed FIELDTRIP, a fast-casual rice bowl shop by James Beard Foundation Award-winning Chef JJ Johnson. Known for its playful and family-friendly menu, FIELDTRIP is an ideal addition for poolside dining and offers a variety of Rice Bowls, Shareable Sides, and house-made Beverages.

Chef JJ Johnson, celebrated for his inventive Afro-Caribbean cuisine, brings his culinary expertise to Atlantis Paradise Island. FIELDTRIP, recognized as one of the few fast-casual restaurants featured in Esquire’s “America’s Best New Restaurants (2020),” embodies sustainable dining and champions ethical practices by using sustainable ingredients to craft diverse, flavorful dishes centered around rice.

The menu showcases global flavors, highlighting heirloom grains and locally sourced seafood. Each rice bowl is meticulously paired with robust vegetables and proteins. Notable offerings include Fried Chicken with Carolina Gold Fried Rice, Wok Veggies, Sticky BBQ Sauce, and Scallions; Braised Beef with Slow-Cooked Angus Beef, Texas Brown Rice, Chipotle Black Beans, and Jalapeno; Crispy Fish featuring Cornmeal-Crusted Cod, Herbed Rice, Tartar Sauce, and Pickled Red Onions; and Chickpea Curry with Eggplant, Texas Brown Rice, and Scallions.

Sides & Extras include Sweet Plantains with Fire Roasted Red Peppers, Crab Pockets with Blue Crab and Garlic Herb Cream Cheese, and Nana’s Bread served with Buttery Flatbread and Carrot Ginger Dip. House-made Beverages like Pineapple Ginger Lemonade, Dragon Fruit Lemonade, and Sorrel complement the menu, with options to customize drinks with alcohol.
