Atlas Ocean Voyages Partners with Global Penguin Society and ORCA for Wildlife Conservation

Atlas Ocean Voyages, a leader in yacht expedition cruising, has announced a new partnership with the Global Penguin Society, a renowned organization dedicated to protecting penguin species and their habitats. This collaboration will enhance the experience for guests aboard the World Navigator’s Antarctica expedition departing on November 22, 2024.

Experts from the Global Penguin Society will join the expedition, providing guests with insights into the Society’s research and conservation efforts. Guests will have the opportunity to engage in discussions, learn about biological and ecological data collection, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges facing penguin populations.

Additionally, Atlas Ocean Voyages is renewing its collaboration with ORCA, a leading marine conservation organization focused on protecting whales, dolphins, and porpoises worldwide. During the World Voyager’s 2024 Arctic expeditions, ocean conservationists will raise awareness, gather scientific data, and engage guests in citizen science projects to help protect these magnificent marine mammals.

Participants will participate in hands-on workshops and use ORCA’s Oceanwatchers app to record environmental and sighting information, providing valuable data for research and conservation initiatives.

James Rodriguez, President and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnerships: “Our guests are always fascinated by the penguin colonies and wildlife in Antarctica. This partnership with the Global Penguin Society will provide them with added expert knowledge, and we look forward to welcoming them onboard to educate all of us.”

Atlas Ocean Voyages is committed to supporting wildlife conservation and inspiring guests to actively participate in preserving marine ecosystems. These partnerships with the Global Penguin Society and ORCA empower guests to contribute to the protection of these extraordinary species and their habitats, ensuring their survival for future generations.
