Austrian Airlines has inaugurated its first-ever year-round nonstop flight from Vienna to Boston, marking a significant expansion of its intercontinental network. The new route, offering up to six weekly flights, is serviced by a Boeing 767, accommodating 211 passengers. The inaugural flight was met with enthusiasm, with Austrian Airlines CCO Michael Trestl and Vienna Airport’s Joint CEO and COO Julian Jäger greeting passengers at the gate and celebrating the new route with a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, culinary treats, and a quick sketch artist capturing the memorable moment. Passengers on board the Boeing 767 received special goodies from Michael Trestl to commemorate the occasion.
Michael Trestl, Chief Commercial Officer of Austrian Airlines, expressed his excitement about the strategic route expansion: “We are delighted to add an extremely attractive destination to our Austrian Airlines destination portfolio with Boston.
