Minor Hotels, a global hospitality company with a portfolio exceeding 550 properties across 56 countries, is expanding its reach into Singapore. The company has announced plans to introduce the Avani Hotels & Resorts lifestyle brand to the city-state, with a new hotel scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027. This 13-story upscale property, boasting 200 rooms, will be strategically located at 24 Peck Seah Street in the bustling Tanjong Pagar district.
Minor Hotels is collaborating with Kajima Development of Singapore and Alwathba Investment of Abu Dhabi to develop this exciting project. The hotel’s prime location will offer guests convenient access to the Central Business District and Chinatown, both within walking distance. The Tanjong Pagar district itself is renowned for its vibrant culinary scene, offering a diverse range of dining options from traditional hawker stalls to Michelin-starred restaurants.
The hotel will seamlessly blend Singapore’s rich cultural heritage, particularly the iconic shophouses of the area, with modern urban elements. This unique design aims to provide a compelling experience for both business and leisure travelers. Adding to the convenience, the Tanjong Pagar MRT station is less than 200 meters away, and the Maxwell MRT station is about 350 meters away, providing easy access to Singapore’s Downtown Core, Marina Bay, and other popular districts.
Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International and CEO of Minor Hotels, commented, “Avani Singapore represents a strategic market entry for Minor Hotels, and we are honored to have our partners Kajima and Alwathba alongside us as we venture into Singapore’s hospitality sector. Their industry expertise and market knowledge will ensure the delivery of an exceptional hotel experience, creating a vibrant base for business and leisure travelers.”
