Awards Season 2024: Dates and Details for the GRAMMYs, Oscars, Tonys and More

GRAMMY Awards

The 66th GRAMMY Awards will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The ceremony will air live on CBS and Paramount+. SZA is this year’s most-nominated artist with 9 nominations, followed by Phoebe Bridgers (7), Serban Ghenea (7), Victoria Monét (7), Jack Antonoff (6), Jon Batiste (6), boygenius (6), Brandy Clark (6), Miley Cyrus (6), Billie Eilish (6), Olivia Rodrigo (6) and Taylor Swift (6).

BAFTA Awards

The 77th annual EE British Academy Film Awards will be held on Sunday, February 18 at the Southbank Centre in London, England. The show will be streamed on BritBox International and broadcast on the BBC One and iPlayer in the U.K. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer scored the most nominations with a whopping 13 nods, while the critically acclaimed film Poor Things was close behind with 11.

Oscars

The 96th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. The show will be broadcast live on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel is returning to host the Oscars once again, which will mark the fourth time he’s taken on the gig. Nominees for this year’s show were announced on January 23, and included some divisive choice — as well as some shocking snubs (including Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig getting largely shut out, despite Barbie’s eight total noms). This year’s top contenders include Barbie, Oppenheimer, Killers of the Flower Moon, Poor Things and Maestro, to name a few favs.

NAACP Image Awards

The 55th NAACP Image Awards will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony will be broadcast live on BET and CBS. The NAACP Image Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color across more than 80 competitive categories spanning film, television + streaming, music, literature, and podcasts.

Golden Globes

The 81st Golden Globes will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. The ceremony will air live on CBS and Paramount+. Comedian and actor Jo Koy will host the ceremony. Some of the notable film nominees include Barbie, Oppenheimer, Killers of the Flower Moon, Poor Things, and Maestro. On the television side, returning favorites including The Crown, Succession, and Ted Lasso, as well as newcomers Daisy Jones & The Six, Lessons in Chemistry, and Jury Duty, were among the hit TV series to be recognized.

Tonys

The 77th Tony Awards will be held on June 16, 2024 at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City. The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+. Ariana DeBose will return to host the Tonys for the third time this year. Nominations will be announced on April 30.

MTV Video Music Awards

The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards will be held on September 10, 2024 at the new UBS Arena in New York City, marking the first-ever award show to be held at the venue. The ceremony will air live around the world on MTV.

Primetime Emmy Awards

The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on September 15, 2024 at the Peacock Theater at LA Live in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC. Following the strike-delayed 2023 Emmys being handed out in January 2024, the Primetime Emmy Awards will return to their regular fall schedule in September. Nominations will be announced on July 17.
