Badoni, who has represented Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League, unleashed a barrage of sixes, smashing an astonishing 19 in total, to finish with an incredible 165 runs off just 55 balls. His innings included eight boundaries and a staggering 19 maximums.
Arya, a former India U-19 player, also made a significant contribution, hitting six consecutive sixes in the 12th over. This remarkable feat came off the bowling of Manan Bhardwaj, who seemed to have no answers to Arya’s power hitting. The left-handed batter cleared the ropes with ease, sending sixes down the ground, over long-on, long-off, and even over the bowler’s head. Arya’s innings of 120 runs from just 50 balls included 10 sixes and as many fours. He reached his century in a remarkable 40 balls.
The duo’s devastating partnership of 286 runs for the second wicket proved to be the cornerstone of South Delhi’s victory.
