Baby Survives Two-Block Ordeal After Vehicle Strikes Stroller

On Monday around 8:30 p.m. PT, Squamish RCMP received numerous reports of a vehicle striking a pedestrian pushing a stroller at a crosswalk. Despite the vehicle continuing to drive after the collision, it was subsequently located two blocks away with the baby still safely within the stroller. Both the pedestrian and the baby sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are currently under medical care. Authorities promptly apprehended the driver, and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing. The RCMP urges anyone with dashcam or security camera footage capturing the downtown Squamish area between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday to contact them at 604-892-6100.
